Information We Collect
As an organization that hosts and provides access to various programs, classes, and direct services (“services”), Korean Community Service Center (“KCSC” or “we”) collects information from or about our clients and program participants (“you”) through multiple channels. These channels include registration and contact forms, surveys, in-person inquiries, phone calls, emails, and text messages.
We collect information that you choose to provide to us about you or (if you choose to provide it) about your child, partner, and/or emergency contacts. It may include contact information such as first and last name, email, phone number, and address. It also may include other information such as date of birth, race/ethnicity, gender identity, generation, and other information that you choose to provide.
If you provide information to us via an online form submission or similar digital communication method, we collect the IP address you used.
How We Use the Information We Collect
We also use the information we collect to study and analyze the populations that use our programs and services. We create reports using some of this information to prepare and improve our programs and services.
How We Share the Information We Collect
Many parts of our organization are funded through government grants, such as from King County, Washington. We as an agency are required to build reports on the individuals we serve through grant-funded operations and provide certain information to grant funders, which may include individual information about you. Our grant funders represent to us that they take measures to secure and limit access to any information about you that we provide to them.
We use service providers to assist us with some aspects of our business operations. For example, we use third-party services to create and manage our client databases. If a service provider has access to your information, they are required to process it on our behalf.
We may share your information at your direction. For example, if you direct us to contact a family member, we may tell them that you directed us to do so.
In other settings, including with the general public, we provide general overviews of our served demographic, which does not include individual information about you.
Mobile Subscriber Information
Your mobile information will NEVER be shared with other parties under any circumstances. This includes no sharing for any marketing or promotional purposes.
Text Messages
By providing us your phone number through a phone call, email, or registration form, you authorize us to contact you, including by sending text messages directly or through a conduit text messaging service and other communications to a cell phone using an automatic telephone dialing system or an artificial or prerecorded voice message, at any number you provide. We will communicate with you about our services. Message frequency varies. Messaging and data rates may apply. You may revoke your consent for us to contact you at a specified phone number by communicating your revocation to us through any reasonable means.
