2025 Youth Summer Leadership Institute
Apply below for Korean Community Service Center's 2025 Summer Leadership Institute, a unique opportunity for Asian American middle and high school students to develop leadership skills, engage in mentorship, and become changemakers in their communities.
The Summer Leadership Institute is designed to equip youth with essential leadership skills through mentorship, hands-on activities, and community engagement. Participants will engage in team building activities, presentations and games that will foster confidence, problem-solving, and advocacy skills to create positive change in their schools and communities.
📍 Location: Black Diamond Camp (19830 SE 328th Pl, Auburn, WA 98092)
📅 Dates: 5:00 pm Monday July 7th – 10:00 am Friday July 11th, 2025
🚗 Transportation: Not provided – Participants must arrange their own transportation or coordinate carpools.
🍽 Meals: Snacks, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Provided from Monday evening – Friday morning.
👥 Participant Capacity: 15 middle school students & 15 high school students
💲 Program Fee: $200 per participant (Scholarships are available for families with financial need)
❗ Refund Policy: Due to our limited resources, we are unable to process refunds.

Application & Selection Process:
Fill out the form below to apply for this year's Summer Leadership Institute! Applications will be reviewed by a panel of youth and adults using an objective rubric that considers various factors for commitment (including thoughtfulness and authenticity of responses to application prompts) and diversity (including students’ gender, ethnicity, geographical representation, and lived experiences).

📩 Decision Notification: May 12th, 2025
💳 Deposit & Confirmation Deadline: Selected participants will have one week to submit full deposit payment to secure their spot.
📋 Waitlist: Applicants who are not initially selected will be placed on a waitlist and notified in mid-May if a spot becomes available.
